Imports of agricultural products to Ukraine have risen by 10% over the year.


From January to June 2025, Ukraine imported $4.26B worth of agricultural products, which is $398M more than during the same period last year. The main suppliers remain the EU countries, accounting for over 52% of imports ($2.24B). Asia contributed more than 19% ($820M), and Latin America accounted for 8% ($351M).
Leading exporting countries include Poland ($568M), Turkey ($345M), Germany ($322M), Italy ($202M), and the Netherlands ($200M). Overall, the top 10 exporting countries supply 55% of Ukraine’s agricultural imports. The cost of imported vegetables increased by 64%, reaching $355M, while fruits and berries grew by 14%, totaling $472M.
Meanwhile, due to adverse weather, the National Bank lowered its forecast for this year’s vegetable crop harvest by 11.5% to 7.6 million tons, fruit and berries by 11.1% to 1.8 million tons, and potatoes by 3.4% to 19.4 million tons. Nonetheless, compared to last year, vegetable harvests are projected to be 11.5% higher, potatoes 10.7% higher, but fruit and berries are expected to be 12.4% lower.
