Hyundai will help to rebuild and expand Kyiv Boryspil airport.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) will join Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The company signed a corresponding agreement with representatives of the Boryspil International Airport regarding the future project of expanding the airport, reports The Korea Herald.
Hyundai E&C plans to rehabilitate the runways and build a new cargo terminal. The company is currently researching the possibility of such construction. However, all construction work will begin after the end of the war with Russia. Hyundai E&C emphasized that it would use its technology and experience gained while participating in the construction of projects at Incheon International Airport, Changi Airport in Singapore, and Chinchero International Airport in Peru.
The company also plans to join reconstruction projects in other sectors, particularly the restoration of railway and energy infrastructure. To speed up Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, Hyundai E&C is looking at every opportunity where the company can use its experience gained during South Korea’s reconstruction.
