How did Ukraine’s retail food industry develop in June?

The Fora supermarket chain, operated by Fozzy Group, followed the successful opening of its first location in the Lviv Oblast by immediately opening a supermarket in Mykolaiv and another in Vinnytsia in June. In addition, four updated supermarkets were opened in Kyiv and other regions in June.

Also, the Silpo chain launched two new supermarkets in Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih. These are the retailer’s first store openings in 2024.

At the same time, the second supermarket from the international chain SPAR has opened in Kovel.

Meanwhile, the capital chain Kolo, which operates its stores using a “close to home” concept, expanded with three locations simultaneously.

The chain of self-service stores, Rukavychka, which is part of the trade and production company Lvivholod, opened outlets in the Lviv Oblast and Ivano-Frankivsk.

Moreover, two new Mi Market stores from Novus that also operate using the “close to home” format have been opened in Kyiv.

In addition, the Kharkiv chain of stores Posad opened a full-fledged supermarket in Poltava.
