How are Ukraine’s cities and regions being reconstructed and revitalized?

Ukrgasbank, a state-owned entity, has issued a loan of ₴650.5M ($15.5M) to the Lviv City Council to fund a significant initiative focused on the sustainable growth of urban infrastructure. These funds are designated for the enhancement of facilities in education, healthcare, culture, and municipal infrastructure. This initiative is in line with the bank’s mission to promote sustainable urban development, foster inclusive infrastructure, and improve the quality of life in Ukrainian communities.

Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated over ₴597M for nine projects aimed at restoring the Kharkiv region. More than ₴240M will be invested to complete renovation of three buildings at the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital. Moreover, an additional ₴357M has been allocated for urgent restoration efforts in six apartment buildings in Kharkiv that suffered damage from Russian shelling.

In Borodyanka, located in the Kyiv region, work is progressing on a modern nine-story residential building at the site of a high-rise that was destroyed by Russian forces in 2022.
