Hotel Ukraine has a new owner, while the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyy port still belongs to the state.
The winner of the auction for the privatization of the Hotel Ukraine paid ₴2.5B and ₴502M in VAT, delivering more than ₴3B to Ukraine’s coffers. With that, according to the Ministry of Economy, and thanks to privatization, a total of ₴5.7B has been provided to the state budget since the beginning of the year, exceeding planned revenue for 2024 by ₴1.7B.
Under the terms of the sale, the Hotel Ukraine’s investor must maintain the enterprise’s primary business activity and repay all its debts within six months (₴3.9M for salaries, ₴10.8M for money owed to the state, ₴21M for overdue account payables).
Meanwhile, the State Property Fund canceled the twelfth auction to sell the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyy Seaport at a starting price of ₴178M. The auction failed to take place due to a lack of interested buyers. To attract potential investors, the State Property Fund will lower the starting price to around ₴89M for the next auction, scheduled for November 8.
