Great Britain will contribute $5.8M to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.
The head of the British Foreign Ministry, James Cleverley, signed an agreement with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Galushchenko, and the Deputy Director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community, Dirk Buschle, on the transfer of the first £5M ($5.8M) of the £10M allocated by London to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. It is noted that Ukraine will use this support to repair critical energy infrastructure following the Russian attacks and restore electricity supply to households and critical facilities. The UK is currently the largest donor to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. The head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine noted that the provided funds will allow the purchase of necessary equipment for Ukraine’s energy companies.
