Grant support for businesses: What is being offered to light industry and eco-startups?

To strengthen the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises and develop the economy, the USAID Program will provide enterprises in the textile industry with equipment to expand production. Businesses must create at least 15 jobs and increase sales by $300,000 or more.

In addition, Ukrainian inventors can participate in a competition that is seeking innovative proposals to replace fossil carbon-based plastics in food packaging. These alternatives should allow multiple use, recycling, and complete biodegradability. Winners will receive from €500,000 to €4M to implement their projects.

Also, Ukrainian communities can participate in a USAID competition to receive $100,000 for development. Communities implementing projects in local economic development and social initiatives are invited to participate.

The Ukrainian Red Cross has announced the launch of the REDpreneur.UA program, which is aimed at restoring and developing businesses in Ukraine. About 70 business projects will receive funding from €5,000 to €15,000 and long-term mentoring support.
