Grain and harvest export rates continue to fall significantly behind last year’s figures.

As of August 8, Ukraine has exported 2.135 million tons of grain and leguminous crops since the start of the 2025/26 marketing year, including 470,000 tons in August. Wheat exports totaled 1.091 million tons, and corn exports reached 706,000 tons. In comparison, by August 12 last year, Ukraine had already exported 4.962 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, with 1.26 million tons exported in August. In July, agricultural exports from Ukraine amounted to 3.4 million tons, which is 4.2% less than in the previous month. The largest export categories included grain, oilseeds, and processed products.

As of August 8, Ukrainian farmers had already threshed 22.4 million tons of grain and oilseeds, including 14.91 million tons of wheat. By the same date last year, more than 28.5 million tons had been threshed.

Heavy rains in July and early August reportedly worsened wheat quality in western and northern Ukraine, leading to a weekly drop in feed grain prices by ₴300-400, to ₴9,650-9,800 per ton, while milling wheat was priced at ₴10,700-10,900 per ton.
