Germany will provide an additional €111M for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Federal State Secretary Johann Flasbart arrived in Kyiv yesterday and discussed Germany’s next aid package with Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk and Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko.
The German government is investing an additional €111M in housing for displaced persons and in support of Ukrainian municipalities to repair and equip kindergartens, schools, and hospitals.
In addition, Flasbart discussed with the Ukrainian government the expansion of bilateral cooperation between the countries. The German government officials also discussed strengthening anti-corruption measures and transparency, as well as an exchange of views with Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
Since the beginning of the war, Berlin has provided Ukraine with €3.6B in civil support.
