Germany will provide a new €500M aid package, a Patriot air defense system, and allow Ukraine to use its weapons to strike military facilities in Russia.

During his trip to Odesa at the end of last week, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced a new €500M military aid package for Ukraine.

The aid includes a large number of missiles for Iris-T air defense systems, drones for reconnaissance and combat operations in the Black Sea, spare parts for German artillery systems, spare engines for Leopard tanks, and a million small arms rounds.

As Pistorius specified, some of these supplies are already ready for shipment. Starting in 2025, the delivery of 18 of the latest RCH-155 self-propelled howitzers will also begin.

In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany announced a transfer of another Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

Also, the German government officially confirmed that it has allowed Ukraine to use German-provided weapons for strikes on military facilities in Russian territory, to be used in accordance with international law.
