Germany will mobilize the private sector to rebuild Ukraine, and Italy will form a list of interested companies.
On April 10, the German government will consider a comprehensive document on the mobilization of private sector resources for Ukraine’s restoration, the Ministry of Economic Development of Germany reported.
“The World Bank estimates the cost of reconstruction to be about $486B, and this colossal amount cannot be collected by the state budgets themselves. Therefore, it is important that private companies take a more active part in the reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine“, the ministry said.
Therefore, the federal government has identified 15 measures to support companies and private individuals for the recovery of Ukraine.
In addition, Italy formed a list of companies interested in working on Ukraine’s reconstruction. The focus is on protecting and restoring the energy sector and developing cooperation in the transport sector.
A meeting of G7 transport ministers is scheduled for April 11 in Milan, during which Ukraine plans to present its recovery needs and invite Italian businesses to cooperate.
