Germany transfers a new defense aid package to Ukraine with air defense ammunition, tanks, and artillery.


Germany has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon receive: 24 mine-resistant armored vehicles (MRAP), ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks, three Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and 10,000 shells for them, ammunition for IRIS-T SLM air defense systems, 5,000 155 mm artillery shells, 2,000 rounds of 122 mm ammunition, 50 Vector reconnaissance drones, 30 drone detection systems, demining equipment, 8,000 rounds of 120 mm mortar ammunition, along with various infantry weapons, equipment, and vehicles.
At the same time, French President Emmanuel Macron suggested the possibility of transferring additional Mirage 2000 fighters to Ukraine through supplies from third countries that use these aircraft. In addition, Paris is working to accelerate the supply of missiles and UAVs to Kyiv.
In turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced preparations have begun for the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format, which will be held in Brussels.
