Reuters reported that Germany’s largest energy company E.ON has stopped buying new amounts of gas from Gazprom’s trading companies in Europe. The group said that although it had no long-term direct supply contracts with gas producers, a small amount of fuel had been purchased from Gazprom’s trading companies. “The Russian market is not one of our target regions. But one thing is clear: if there is a prolonged physical deficit of energy imports, it will have consequences for us,” they said in a statement.
