Germany announces more aid, Latvia forms a drone coalition, and Sweden is thinking about Gripen jets.
New military assistance from Germany includes Leopard 1 tank ammunition, eight armored personnel carriers, 25 RQ-35 HEIDRUN reconnaissance drones, 50 SatCom communication terminals, eight Zetros trucks, and more.
The head of defense of Latvia, Andris Spruds, announced the formation of a coalition of almost 20 countries that will work together to arm the Defense Forces of Ukraine with “thousands” of new drones.
Sweden has not excluded the provision of Gripen aircraft to Ukraine, however, the adoption of such a decision relates to the Kingdom’s accession to NATO, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden in Davos.
We would like to add that during the World Economic Forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands called on the allies not to forget about Ukraine’s support against increasing military conflicts worldwide.
She emphasized that Ukraine needs support for both its military and economic integration with Europe.
