German companies have received investment guarantees in Ukraine: Bayer will invest €60M, and Fixit will double its production.
The German government has decided to provide guarantees to companies that will invest in Ukraine during the war, said German Economy Minister Robert Habek. Investment guarantees will be applied in the event of property destruction resulting from missile strikes or other hostilities for German production facilities in Ukraine.
The minister specified that the German pharmaceutical giant Bayer is ready to invest €60M, and the construction company Fixit will almost double its capacity to produce building materials in Ukraine.
Habek also noted that Germany considers Ukraine an alternative to the Russian market that has been lost to German companies. To that end, for German companies to enter Ukraine en masse it is necessary to create favorable investment conditions and obtain guarantees from the state.
