Gas production indicators in Ukraine are approaching pre-war levels.
State-owned Ukrgazvydobuvannya increased gas production to 36.6 million cubic meters per day in August, the Naftogaz press service reported. However, this is still less than before the start of full-scale hostilities. In January-February 2022, according to Ukrgazvydobuvannya data, about 39-40 million cubic meters of gas per day were produced. For 2022, the company produced 12.5 billion cubic meters of marketable natural gas, 3% less than in 2021.
It is reported that the current increase in production is due to the successful operation of new gas wells. The company faces the task of increasing natural gas production by one billion cubic meters to 13.5 billion cubic meters in 2023. Meanwhile, market experts predict that private companies will also increase gas production in 2024.
