From Lviv to Zaporizhzhia: An overview of retail plans and openings in Ukraine.


According to the Lviv City Council, a shopping mall with a hotel and apartments is planned to be built in Vynnyky, in the Lviv region. It is expected that the retail space will occupy 3,800 square meters, offices will cover 383 square meters, an apart-hotel with 116 apartments will occupy 3,900 square meters, and a hotel with 79 rooms will take up 1,900 square meters.
The Blyzenko chain of stores is preparing to expand in Volyn, continuing its growth in the Western Ukrainian food retail market, where 248 stores currently operate. The chain, which is part of the BERTA group of companies in Lviv, now operates in five regions: Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Zakarpattia, and Chernivtsi.
As well, a third McDonald’s restaurant may open in Cherkasy, while construction is already underway on a new location near Lutsk.
Additionally, two new Sinsay stores from the Polish clothing retailer will open in Zaporizhzhia.
A Bodium women’s clothing boutique will open in the Ocean Mall shopping center in Ukraine’s capital, which currently houses brands such as French Livy and Maison Close. A flagship Nike store will also open in the Ocean Mall.
The first Ukrainian location of the well-known Turkish denim brand Mavi has already opened in Chernihiv’s Hollywood Mall. Also, the Ultra Shop multi-brand store has opened, featuring world-famous brands like Guess, Levi’s, Baldinini, Mochino, Hugo Boss, Liu Jo, and Karl Lagerfeld, among others.
