France is implementing a war economy regime to support Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression.
France will produce 78 Caesar self-propelled artillery systems, specifically for Ukraine, French Minister of the Armed Forces Sebastien Lecornu said. He added that Ukraine purchased six of these installations with its own funds, which will be delivered in the coming weeks, and another 72 will be delivered by the beginning of 2025.
Lecornu reminded interested parties that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, France handed over 30 Caesar self-propelled guns to Ukraine. France will also supply Ukraine with more artillery shells, the minister promised. Since February last year, supplies have increased to 2,000 per month; since January 2024, they have increased to 3,000 per month, the minister noted.
In addition, starting this month, France will begin to transfer 50 aerial bombs to Ukraine monthly; these munitions have been adapted to Soviet-style aircraft. The country also plans to supply Ukraine with AASM high-precision air-to-ground bombs.
