Foreign companies will invest in Ukraine’s agricultural sector if they have war-risk insurance.
The Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy, Denys Bashlyk, believes that foreigners will invest in Ukraine’s agricultural sector of Ukraine only with the provision of war-risk insurance for businesses. Bashlyk said this during a meeting between Ukraine’s Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko and German Vice Chancellor Robert Habek, along with representatives of large German companies.
It is noted that during the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibility of involving German businesses in the process of rebuilding Ukraine and mechanisms for supporting foreign investors.
German business representatives expressed interest in investing in the chemical industry, metallurgy, and infrastructure. At the same time, the German government is ready to ensure war risks for its investors. As of today, more than 20 such investment projects are being evaluated and may be approved soon.
