Finland will provide Ukraine with a €188M military aid package and signed a security guarantee agreement.
Finland has announced a new aid package to Ukraine worth €188M. Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that this is the 23rd aid package to Ukraine.
“It contains means for anti-aircraft defense and large-caliber artillery ammunition,” he noted.
Finland has already allocated €2B in military aid to Ukraine and €700,000 in humanitarian aid.
Ukraine and Finland also signed an agreement on security cooperation and long-term support between the countries. In total, the document contains 89 points. Thus, Finland undertakes to provide long-term support for Ukraine’s security and defense needs and strengthen Ukraine’s stability. Finland will continue supporting Ukraine during the ten-year term of this agreement.
Ukraine, for its part, is determined to implement public administration reforms, including transparency, accountability, and anti-corruption reforms. The agreement emphasizes the future of Ukraine and its people in the EU and NATO.
