Finland will produce artillery shells for Ukraine, which is also increasing its weapon production.
Finland plans to start production of artillery ammunition for Ukraine soon, Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen said. He clarified that the decision on the start of production will probably be made before Christmas.
“We aim to support Ukraine even more. At the same time, we will further increase Finland’s and Northern European countries’ readiness to produce ammunition,” Häkkänen added.
As well, Ukraine will soon be able to produce 5,000-7,000 units of 155 mm caliber per month. Current production volumes are insufficient; therefore, the country is actively trying to speed up production in their cooperation with Western partners.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, reported that most drones purchased for the Defense Forces are produced in Ukraine, and the volume is increasing.
At the same time, the US said that they are running out of funds to help Ukraine, and if Congress does not approve funding, the supply of weapons to Kyiv may stop.
