Estonia has provided €10M in guarantees to the EIB fund for Ukraine.

The European Investment Bank and Estonia signed a contribution agreement, according to which Estonia provides €10M to the EU for Ukraine Fund. The fund, launched by the EIB in 2023, is part of a larger EU for Ukraine (EU4U) initiative to meet urgent needs and support economic stability in Ukraine.

The EU4U Fund supports critical recovery and reconstruction projects involving both the public and private sectors and improves access to finance for entrepreneurs in Ukraine. It has attracted more than €400M from most EU member states.

“We must unite and help Ukraine so that it can continue to repel the aggressor and at the same time rebuild its country,” the Estonian Foreign Ministry said.

The activities of the EU4U Foundation are currently supported by contributions from ten donors. Among them are Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and France.
