The total expenditure on physical assets needed by Ukraine to ensure climate neutrality under the Net Zero 2050 scenario will be more than 15% of the total GDP in 2021-2050. According to research by McKinsey consulting, the total capital expenditure on physical assets for global decarbonization will be $275 trillion, or 7.5% of accumulated world GDP by 2050. According to a study covering sectors that produce 85% of total greenhouse gas emissions in 69 countries, the world’s average annual cost of decarbonization will increase to $9.2 trillion from the current $ 5.7 trillion.
