After negative publicity about not paying the RES debt, the relevant state enterprise relented and fulfilled its obligations. The new Director of “Guaranteed Buyer”, Vadim Ulida thanked the government for fulfilling promises to pay the debt to RES producers. Was this a smart move, or just panic after receiving negative publicity? Or a way to replace the previous Executive branch of the enterprise? Whatever the motivation, it should not take public shaming for the Ukrainian government to pay its bills, and meet its contractual obligations. If you wish to participate in the world of business, you must follow the rules, and keep to your agreements.
