Eco Baltia looking at opportunities to build waste processing infrastructure in the Cherkasy region.

The Latvian waste processor, Eco Baltia Vide, is undertaking preliminary work to develop waste processing infrastructure in the Cherkasy region. Working with EBRD programs, the company is looking at a potential investment of €4 million to resolve the acute issue of landfills. The Cherkasy region produces 1 million tons of waste per year, whilst only sorting 8% of household waste in its region said Alexander Skichko, the Governor of the Oblast (press office).
