During the war in Ukraine, the construction of 600 new residential complexes has been initiated, but sales levels remain too low.

Over more than three years of full-scale war, 594 new residential complexes have been launched in various regions of Ukraine. The highest number of construction sites is in the Lviv region (166), with twice as many as in the Kyiv region (84). Sales began in 66 residential complexes in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, 65 in Zakarpattia, and 49 projects in the Ternopil region.
Overall, the pace of housing commissioning continues to increase and is approaching pre-war levels, experts noted at the Ukrainian Construction Forum. The 2024 figure is 32% higher than in 2023, but still 15% lower than in 2021. In 2025, the pace of construction remains strong.
The top five regions in terms of completed square meters in the first quarter are led by the Kyiv region at 32% (720,000 square meters) and the Lviv region at significantly less, with 11% (260,000). However, the level of annual sales has not yet surpassed 20% of pre-war 2021 volumes. Nonetheless, in the first quarter of 2025 sales were higher than in previous years of the war.
