Due to Russian aggression, almost 8,000 businesses have moved to other regions of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 7,820 Ukrainian companies have changed their region of registration. It is reported that 27% of the total remaining enterprises are from Kyiv, with the Dnipropetrovsk region (11%), and the Donetsk region (8%) in second and third place, respectively.
At the same time, Kyiv also leads the list of areas to which companies are moving; 22% of the total relocators chose the capital. Despite military operations and proximity to the front line, entrepreneurs also choose the Kharkiv and Odesa regions, with 10% each.
The route from Kyiv to Odesa was the most popular direction for business relocation, chosen by 350 companies. In second place in terms of popularity is the road from the Dnipropetrovsk region to Kyiv, chosen by 300 companies. The third is the Kyiv-Kharkiv region, which has 289 businesses.
Almost half of the companies that changed their region of registration work in wholesale trade, with 44%. In second place are construction companies (6%). Real estate businesses round out the top three categories of internally displaced enterprises.
