Due to blackouts, some Ukrainian companies are ready to stop production.

Mass blackouts have become a significant test for all business sectors. So far, companies have not been forced to close, but some are already considering the possibility of suspending production, said the director of the European Business Association, Anna Derevyanko. According to the director, if the situation is critical, these companies will have to stop production for at least several months until the situation improves. Derevyanko noted that one of the large retail chains calculated that a day of store closures costs it UAH 10M. “The stores have generators, but these constant blackouts still affect their operations significantly,” said the EBA director.
