Despite the war, 70% of the Ukrainian population remains in the country.

According to results from a Rakuten Viber survey, more than two-thirds of Ukrainians are at home and have not left the country and their homes during the full-scale invasion. Another 15% of respondents decided to evacuate and have already returned home. Also, 8% moved to other regions and 7% to other countries.

At the same time, 16% of Ukrainians have moved and do not yet plan to return, where 9% of them moved abroad and 7% within the country. 86% of respondents said they do not intend to move soon and plan to stay home. Another 3% of Ukrainians are thinking about a possible move within the country, and 3% will go abroad if there is a brutal winter.

Only 1% of Ukrainians indicated that they would leave in 2023. Also, 7% of respondents are currently away from home and plan to return.
