Denys Shmyhal has named the key factors for Ukraine’s post-war recovery plan.
According to the prime minister, security will be one of the key factors in Ukraine’s recovery and development after the war. As Shmyhal explained, it is necessary to develop security infrastructure, from bomb shelters to air defense equipment. It is also critical to continue qualitatively modernizing the army, which has already evolved on the battlefield and pivoted to NATO standards in the shortest possible time. Other development factors will be digitization, reducing the state’s role in the economy, and investment in human capital. These measures will make it possible to fight corruption by removing the human factor. Investments in human capital make it possible to develop and educate the next generation, which will shape Ukraine’s modern economy. Reducing the state’s economic role will be accomplished through privatization and corporatization, which the government continues to work on.
