Denmark will become the first country to launch joint defense production with Ukraine on its territory.

The Ministers of Defense of Ukraine and Denmark – Rustem Umerov and Troels Lund Poulsen – signed a letter of intent, which paves the way for joint production of Ukrainian weapons in Denmark.
“This document is the first step in implementing the Build with Ukraine initiative, work on which we began during the previous meeting in the Ramstein format,” Umerov noted.
The Danish government is allocating approximately $78M to accelerate the launch of Ukrainian weapons production. All facilities created within the project will work to strengthen the Ukrainian defense forces.
“This is an important strategic step that strengthens our joint defense capability, stabilizes supply chains, opens up new prospects for the exchange of technologies and the integration of the defense sectors of our countries,” the Ukrainian minister emphasized.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Denmark “will become the first country with which we will launch joint defense production.” This year, the country will allocate €1.26B for the Ukrainian production of long-range drones.
