Canada provides new military aid to Ukraine; the US is working on a new $300M package.
Canada will provide Ukraine with additional ammunition, expand their training program for the Ukrainian military, and send five more tactical medicine instructors to Poland in addition to the seven already training the Ukrainian army.
Also, within the framework of the UNIFIER operation, Canadian and Latvian instructors began to conduct joint training of grassroots commanders on May 15. The provision of 43 air-to-air AIM-9 missiles is also expected.
Canada has already provided more than $1B in military aid to Ukraine since the start of the war.
Moreover, Reuters sources say the US plans to announce a new $300M military aid package to Ukraine. It is expected to include more guided missile salvo systems for HIMARS launchers and ammunition.
In addition, through the Slovenian International Trust Fund, Ukraine will receive €2M for humanitarian demining from Austria.
