Businesses ask the governments of Ukraine and Poland to quickly sign the common border agreement.
Several business associations have called on the governments of Ukraine and Poland to promote the development of existing checkpoints and the construction of new joint checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border, as well as to ensure the signing of an agreement on a common border between Ukraine and the Republic of Poland as soon as possible, reported the European Business Association (EBA).
The initiators of the appeal were the EBA, the American Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, the Association of International Motor Carriers, the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the All-Polish Union of Road Transport Employers, and the Polish Union of Entrepreneurs.
“The closure of Ukraine’s airspace, the blockage of Ukraine’s sea and river ports, and significant damage to the railway network and infrastructure have led to the fact that road freight transportation through western road checkpoints has become practically the only way for international transport of goods,” the message emphasizes.
