Britain will provide Ukraine with 100 missiles for air defense during May, and Germany will increase its military aid funding by €3.8B.
British Defense Minister Grant Shapps said that Ukraine will receive 100 missiles from Britain for air defense in May.
“Warm words are not enough. Every state that values its freedom should intensify its efforts and provide as quickly as possible what it can so that the armed forces can repel the illegal invasion,” he emphasized.
According to him, since the beginning of May, Britain has provided Ukraine with 80 missiles for air defense, and more than 20 should arrive by the beginning of June.
Also, the German Finance Ministry has unofficially approved a request from the Defense Ministry for an additional €3.8B in aid to Ukraine. This is because almost all of the previously allocated €7.1B has been used, and only €300M is left to purchase new weapons and ammunition. This unanticipated expense in the budget must be submitted for approval to the German Parliament in June.
