Britain offers Ukraine £367M loan guarantees and a new military support package.
The United Kingdom is ready to guarantee loans of up to £367M ($500M) to support Ukraine and mitigate the economic consequences of Russian aggression, said UK Foreign Minister Liz Trass. Britain is ready to offer guarantees to the Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) for projects that support economic stability and vital reforms such as the fight against corruption. This support will help mitigate the financial impact on Ukraine’s economy resulting from Russian aggression. The United Kingdom is also ready to provide Ukraine with a new military support package, said Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The aid package would include defense weapons and non-lethal aid. The Prime Minister added that Britain is also ready to strengthen sanctions, emphasizing the scale of the package of sanctions already outlined, which includes 275 people.
