BraveTech EU will help create drones that can be controlled from anywhere.

Future battlefields will involve remote-controlled UAVs and fully autonomous drones, said Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. He mentioned that the government is investing in autonomous systems that will allow operators to control drones not from the front line but from any part of the country.

Ukraine and the EU have launched a new initiative called BraveTech EU, which will allow European military-tech startups to test their solutions in combat conditions in Ukraine. To start, Ukraine and the EU have invested €50M into the program. BraveTech EU aims not only to share technologies but also to develop joint products, including autonomous drones, electronic warfare systems, and interceptors to combat Shahed drones.

Meanwhile, defense startup The Fourth Law recently showcased its flagship product, the TFL-1 module, which uses AI to give drones autonomy when approaching targets. The startup has received funding from investors in the EU, US, and Canada. The autonomy module greatly improves the success rate of FPV drone missions while increasing their cost by only 10-20%.
