Brave1 demonstrates the state’s support for defense technology.

Over the past two years of the Brave1 technology cluster’s operation, more than 1,500 developers have joined, and have registered over 3,500 technological solutions according to Brave1 COO, Nataliya Kushnerska. She noted that approximately 80% of all defense tech solutions introduced at the front were created by cluster participants. These include ShaBlya turrets, the Lys platforms, the Lyut combat robot, the TerMIT logistics and evacuation platform, and the Volya-E ground drone.
Additionally, the Ministry of Defense has approved more than 50 electronic warfare devices developed by Brave1 participants. Priority innovation areas that are receiving funding from the platform for development include the production of missiles, lasers, explosive mixtures and substances, AI solutions, and specific types of unmanned systems.
During these two years, Brave1 participants have secured over 50 grants totaling more than ₴2.2B ($54M). The cluster recently resumed its grant program, allowing manufacturers to receive between ₴500,000 and ₴8M.
In 2023, cluster participants attracted $8M in investment, and in 2024 they expect to attract $40M. This year, Brave1 aims to obtain up to $100M.
