Belgium will provide Ukraine with €1B in defense aid and two F-16s this year, while Norway is allocating over $332M for ammunition.

Belgium will contribute a €1B defense aid package to Ukraine. Prime Minister Bart de Wever specified that the funds will be utilized to purchase weapons and enhance the Ukrainian defense industry, particularly the production of new types of weapons. Belgium will also deliver two F-16 fighters to Ukraine in 2025 for spare parts and hopes to deliver two more in 2026.
“We hope to do more, but we depend on the delivery of the F-35. There are no delays in Belgium, but there are delays with the F-35. As soon as the F-35 arrive in Belgium, the F-16 will be delivered to Ukraine. It’s very simple,” he stated.
Norway, for its part, plans to allocate NOK 4B (over $266M) to the Czech initiative to supply Ukraine with large-caliber artillery ammunition. The country will also direct NOK 1B (over $66.5M) to the European Peace Fund. These funds will also be spent on ammunition. This new funding is part of a recently announced increase in support totaling NOK 50B in 2025.
