The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has announced the expulsion of 12 Ukrainian diplomats and the closure of the Ukrainian consulate in Brest, announced the Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Anatoly Glaz. He cited “interference in Belarus’ internal affairs” and “destructive actions” in recent years, citing the aftermath of an incident involving the forced landing of a Ryanair flight in Minsk to arrest an opposition blogger, and “boorish treatment” of Belarusian diplomats leaving Ukraine via Moldova, allegedly “incompatible” with diplomatic behavior.
