As the Finance Minister’s visit to Washington continues into its second week,

Minister Serhiy Marchenko said he is having “very good” talks with the IMF and the US Treasury Department. “We will be able to fulfill all our commitments under the IMF program and be able to continue it, as well as receive support directly from the United States.” He said, referring to the $5 billion IMF program that stalled after disbursement of the first $2 billion tranche one year ago. Speaking on a Center for European Policy Analysis program, Marchenko added that he is also meeting with US contractors to discuss road building projects in Ukraine.
