“The state co-inspection recorded that as of November 30, 2022, as a result of armed aggression, 291,826,950 m² were polluted and 8,099,793,440 m² of Ukrainian lands were littered with debris, the amount of damage is UAH 448.9B ($12B),” the message says. In addition, due to the war, hundreds of hectares of Ukraine’s land fund are littered with waste, contaminated with harmful substances that were released through the detonation of explosives, causing damage to the topsoil. These factors led to the damage of agricultural lands, the impossibility of carrying out sowing operations, and, as a result, to the absence of a harvest on the lands that were disturbed due to military aggression.
