April’s second deadly missile strike: Russia kills dozens and wounds hundreds in Sumy.

Only one week after the Kryviy Rih tragedy, on April 13 Russia attacked the center of Sumy with ballistic missiles, killing 34 civilians and injuring over 100 others, among them 11 children. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine stated that the US, Europe, and everyone who wants an end to this war and the killing must act.
“Russia seeks precisely to inflict this form of terror and continues to prolong the conflict. Peace is unattainable without pressure on the aggressor. Negotiations have never halted the use of ballistic missiles and air bombs. We need to treat Russia as a terrorist deserves,” commented President Zelenskyy regarding the attack.
On the same day, the Russians carried out a drone strike on Kharkiv, targeting a kindergarten.
Notably, a month ago, Ukraine agreed to a full temporary ceasefire, but Russia rejected this proposal. Since then, it has launched almost 70 missiles, over 2,200 Shahed drones, and more than 6,000 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine.
On April 11, Donald Trump urged Russian leadership to initiate ceasefire negotiations as soon as possible. However, the White House indicated that Trump was disappointed with both sides regarding peace talks.
