Analysts summarize September’s results for Ukraine’s real estate market.
According to the experts, two new buildings in the Lviv region and one in the Kyiv region were commissioned in September. The average cost per square meter in dollar equivalent increased by 1-6%, depending on the region. On an annual basis (September 2024 compared to September 2023), prices primarily increased in newly constructed buildings in the Kirovohrad, Volyn, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. The highest average price in Kyiv was $1,349 per square meter. Demand increased in September, mainly in the Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions.
As for the secondary market, the number of people willing to sell housing decreased in September. Compared to September last year, the number of offered properties increased only in six regions, mainly in the west of Ukraine. The price of flats increased in almost every region by 5-6%, while in Kyiv, on the contrary, the price decreased slightly, by 1%.
At the same time, the capital remains the city with the most expensive housing: The average cost for a one-room apartment is $84,935.
