Analysts: Russia wants to seize four regions of Ukraine by 2026 and wage war with NATO.
The head of the Ukrainian Situation Center at the German Ministry of Defense, Major General Christian Freuding, believes that that Russia is arming itself beyond the needs of its troops in Ukraine. In particular, the Russian army “is getting more tanks, ammunition, missiles, and drones.” This indicates the Kremlin’s intention to prepare for war with NATO.
It is noted that the Russian army is largely compensating for its human and material losses in Ukraine: Moscow is recruiting around 30,000 soldiers every month. In addition, Russia has established large-scale production of aerial bombs, missiles, artillery shells, as well as kamikaze drones of various types.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine the aggressor army is attempting to approach the outskirts of Pokrovsk (Donetsk region). According to the ISW, the Russians are redeploying their units, particularly from the Kurakhove direction, and are bringing in additional forces to intensify their offensive operations on Pokrovsk. There are also reports of enemy advances near many other settlements in the Donetsk region, including Velyka Novosilka, where the Russians have begun assaulting certain areas.
