An American fund plans to build housing for displaced individuals in 20 Ukrainian communities.

The Charity Hansen Ukrainian Mission, established by American philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen, plans to construct 10,000 apartments for internally displaced individuals in 20 communities throughout Ukraine. The Housing for All project involves creating social housing based on the Hansen Town model in the Kyiv region, where 1,700 displaced individuals already reside. This project aims to provide housing for 50,000 displaced individuals. The total cost is estimated at $1B, with construction set to start in the fall of 2025 and completion expected by the summer of 2027.

Additionally, it is emphasized that beyond addressing housing challenges, the new towns will foster a vibrant community environment, featuring educational and medical facilities, job opportunities, recreational areas, and sports complexes.

Notably, Hansen’s organization is already executing several similar projects in Ukraine. In addition to Hansen Town, the mission has developed Senior Chudo Village – the first residential community for the elderly – allocated apartments to displaced individuals in Sofiivska Borshchahivka, and is involved in the reconstruction of destroyed housing in the Kyiv region.
