Axios reports in a story headlined: “Biden taps Russia hawk for key energy post.” Hochstein is remembered in Ukraine for resigning from the Naftogaz Supervisory Board last October. In a Kyiv Post oped, seemingly timed to position himself for a job in a Biden Administration, Hochstein blasted corruption at Naftogaz. During the Obama Administration, Hochstein served as the State Department’s special envoy for international energy affairs.
