Although Russia attacks Ukraine daily, Washington has halted the delivery of missiles used in air defense and ammunition to Kyiv.

The Pentagon has stopped supplying some air defense missiles and other precision munitions to Ukraine that were promised by Biden administration. The decision was made due to concerns that US arsenals have become depleted. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth directed that supplies be postponed a few weeks after his order to review US ammunition stockpiles, which have been drained.
Among the weapons being retained are dozens of Patriot interceptor missiles, thousands of 155-mm high-explosive shells for howitzers, over 100 Hellfire missiles, more than 250 GMLRS precision missile systems, and dozens of Stinger, AIM, and grenade launchers.
Meanwhile, Russia continues its combined air attacks on Ukraine. Last month, Ukrainian air defenses destroyed over 4,750 enemy air targets, and Ukrainian Defense Forces’ aviation accounted for 646.
It’s worth noting that Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense did not receive official notifications from the US about the suspension or revision of the schedule for delivering promised defense aid.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that delays in military aid only encourage Russia to persist with the war and attack rather than seek peace.
