Almost 8% of EU organic imports come from Ukraine, which is establishing itself as a leader in this market.

In 2024, Ukraine became one of the top three exporters of organic products to the bloc among European countries and has remained among the top five largest exporters to the EU for seven years. In 2024, the total volume of organic agri-food product imports to the EU increased by 6.4%, reaching 2.64 million tons. Ukraine moved from fifth to third place in the ranking of organic product suppliers to the EU, behind only Ecuador and China, and secured first place in the importation of organic grain.
Exports from Ukraine grew by 17% compared to 2023, totaling 203,900 tons, with sales of fruits and nuts rising by 17.3%. Ukraine’s share of the EU’s total organic imports is 7.7%, which includes grain, oilseeds, soybeans, proteins, nuts, fruits, and frozen berries. Most of this volume consists of raw materials, but there are also processed products, such as fruit concentrates. Overall, Ukraine exports 90% of its organic products, regaining the position it lost since the war began.
