On January 6, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv considered the prosecutor’s request and decided to seize Poroshenko’s property, which belongs to him on the right of ownership according to state registers. The prosecution asks the Pechersk District Court to give the European Solidarity party leader Petro Poroshenko a precautionary measure in the “coal case” in the form of detention with an alternative bail of UAH 1B ($ 35M). On December 20, 2021, the State Bureau of Investigation informed Poroshenko of suspicion of treason and aiding and abetting terrorist organizations in the case of a criminal scheme to supply coal from the temporarily occupied territories
