After EU ambassadors voice their support for the Ukraine Facility, Ukraine looks to receive €16B in funding for 2024.
Ambassadors of the EU member states have supported the Ukraine Facility, agreeing with the positive assessment of the financial support instrument proposed by the EC. The EU Council must still approve the decision on May 14.
“Ukraine is already showing progress in achieving the reforms defined in the Facility Plan; we have fulfilled 12 of the 36 indicators foreseen in 2024. Fulfilling five indicators in the first quarter will allow Ukraine to receive €6B in financial support. In addition, early work on implementing the Plan and a stable course of positive state changes will help to attract another €10B this year,” said Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyrydenko.
In 2024, Ukraine should receive €16B, in 2025 – €12.5B, in 2026 – €7.25B, in 2027 – €1.2B, and €1.32B in January 2028, depending on the indicators from the fourth quarter in 2027.
